Grand Strand Advanced Practice Nurse Association

It is hard to believe it is 2025. Happy New Year!

The GSAPNA is a local group of Nurse Practitioners who organized over 20 years ago. Our mission is to promote the role of the APRN through leadership, education, community awareness, and advocacy.

We invite all Nurse Practitioners and NP students in the Grand Strand area to join our organization. With membership we have monthly dinner meetings that are designed for education and networking, discounted tuition for our fall conference -Lecture at the Beach, opportunities for community advocacy, and involvement in supporting The Coalition for Access to Healthcare. The Coalition is a state wide organization that is responsible for advancement of our privileges in South Carolina. Membership is much more than a free dinner from a drug rep.

Dinner meetings are planned for the third Thursday of the month.

Unfortunately, COVID took the wind out of our sails and our membership has declined significantly over the past three years. We have had no one interested in replacing our Board of Directors. Thank you Roxanne Altman and Sheryl Aiken for continuing in your roles as President and Treasurer. Thhank you, Lesley Plowman, for steppping up as Secretary.

Welcome to Grand Strand Advance Nurse Practitioner Association membership registration page. Membership includes monthly meetings, the third Thursday of each month (excluding September and December). It also provides networking with other local APRNs, and discount to our annual CME meeting, Lecture at the Beach, held at the Myrtle Beach Hilton every September. We also support local and state groups (see Community Support page).
